Cherished Memories

This picture was made for the 2011 Reboot Christmas Slide Show that we do at the end of each year over at the Java Hut.

Okay, my FAVORITE picture this year. And let me tell you, I loathe Matrix... oh how I LOATHE him... but when we voted on using Micheal Buble's rendition of "I'll be home for Christmas"... I knew I wanted a very heart wrenching picture of this trio, lost in the games.

My COMPLETE AND UTTER GRATITUDE goes out to my dear friend, Moonbay, whose coloring just gives SO much dimension to this picture and adds so much more depth that I am unable to achieve on my own (someday, with some lessons). Moonie, you are amazing, and I covet yur leet coloring skillz!

So the pair are going through their pre-teen hours; you can see that reflected in AndrAIa's "inbetween" attire and Enzo's cadet uniform. He hasn't had the gold eye installed yet... he'll hit an all time low before he does that. We see them huddled together trying to get warm... and there's a bit of a story...

Enzo is getting angsty (SURPRISE) because he feels that he is failing as a guardian, failing to keep his two friends out of harm's way, and failing at getting everyone home. He's in despair... and AndrAIa sees him changing: it's now about winning the game and surviving... nothing else matters. That's not the sprite she fell for at first sight. Even Frisket sees it too.
Finally Enzo sees that he is hurting the two people that mean the most to him by giving up hope... so he obtains a Christmas ornament that reflects back your very own home based off of the info from your PID (I kid you not, Moonie made a freaking tiny Mainframe within the ornament!!!). He tells AndrAIa about Christmas and traditions that he and his sister had. AndrAIa regains her adoration for the green sprite. He is trying so hard to hold the three together, but he can't do it alone. From that point on, the goal is not to survive... but to find home.

*sniffs* And then you just add Micheal BUBLE into the mix and then the flood gates REALLY open!!! *sobs*
